Enter Cherry Vanilla! This flavor pinpoints the cherry pie flavor you're craving with a careful combination of tart morello cherries and the sweet tang of rainier cherries, then rounds things out with the soft and sumptuous taste of the vanilla bean. With natural ingredients, unreal flavor, and as sweet as pie, Cherry Vanilla lets you have your pie and drink it too!

Cherry Vanilla’s Inspiration Story

Our co-founder and formulator, Ben Goodwin, crafted Cherry Vanilla to taste just like a cherry pie. Like our Strawberry Vanilla variety, Cherry Vanilla is a creation inspired by his childhood and favorite sweet indulgences. Born in August, Ben always craved a fresh cherry pie on his birthday. Unfortunately, cherry season peaked before his special day rolled around so he couldn’t enjoy this sweet and tangy treat on his special day.

Now, he can! Ben was able to formulate the taste of his favorite pie in a better-for-you, more delicious (if you can believe it), and significantly fizzier form. Despite taking inspiration from a deliciously sweet dessert, OLIPOP's Cherry Vanilla is neither too sweet nor too rich. It hits the nostalgia of cherry pie without overpowering it. It allows you to get a taste of the cherry pie flavor you remember—or, if you haven’t tried cherry pie, a flavor you’ll now never forget!—but even better. If that doesn't put a smile on your face, we don't know what will!

Cherry Vanilla Nutrition

Like all our delicious sodas at OLIPOP, Cherry Vanilla feels as good as it tastes. All our ingredients are plant-based and serve a function. Together, our ingredients support healthy digestion by feeding the microbiome that exists within all of us. We use something called OLISMART to turn our drinks from delicious to functional. OLISMART is our in-house, proprietary blend of seven unique botanicals, plant fibers, and prebiotics (the primo food source for beneficial bacteria), each hand-picked for their biome-supporting benefits.

As a part of their biome-supporting benefits, the fiber and prebiotics in our soda aid in slowly dispersing nutrients over the digestive tract's length, which consequently feeds the important good bacteria that live there. Fiber is also a key ingredient for digestive health. It’s a macronutrient that we can all benefit from getting more of, as 95% of Americans don’t meet the recommended daily intake.

Our botanical extracts, on the other hand, serve to promote nutritional diversity. The number of plant types you eat plays a big role in the diversity of your gut microbiome. As you might already know: a diverse microbiome is a healthier, stronger microbiome. In fact, the American Gut Project—the largest study to date of the human microbiome—found that those who ate more than 30 plant types a week had more diverse gut microbiomes than those who ate 10 or fewer plant types a week. In addition to the OLISMART blend we use in all our sodas, our Cherry Vanilla formula also adds tart cherry varieties (duh, that’s how we got the taste!). And like all our beverages, Cherry Vanilla is certified non-GMO, gluten-free, vegan, and paleo-diet compliant. Plus, we flavor all our drinks with stevia instead of sugar or high fructose corn syrup.

Derived from the Stevia Rebaudiana plant (read: plant-based!), stevia has been used for over 200 years to sweeten foods. Because stevia is calorie-free, we can keep our soda to 5 grams of sugar. In comparison, cherry soda from other "big soda" companies can have up to forty-two grams of sugar. They're also made with artificial flavors and colors. Talk about an OLIPOP win!
