Watermelon Lime is that candy-like flavor you’ve always loved but in liquid form. With a mix of watermelon, tart cherry, and lime juice, this bubbly soda balances brightness with a crave-worthy pop of sweetness. 

Watermelon Lime Inspiration Story

With our favorite season on the way, our co-founder and formulator Ben Goodwin wanted to launch a soda perfect for warmer temps, pool parties, and backyard BBQs. In other words, we needed a soda that captured the flavor of summer in can form. And what fruit screams summer more than watermelon? With the fruit of summer secured we decided to mix in some tart and slightly sweet lime. And we were wondering, will these two fruits fall in love? Is this the beginning of an unforgettable summer love story?! Turns out, yes!

That’s right, Watermelon Lime is the soda of the summer. It’s a flavor explosion for your taste buds that’s best served with long days, warm nights, and afternoons by the pool. It’s essentially summertime in a can. And this soda flavor can’t wait to be the new addition to your fridge (or poolside!). Picture it: with your shades on and a cold can of Watermelon Lime in your hand, you’re simply too refreshed to be stressed. Sounds like summer to us! 

Watermelon Lime Nutrition

Like all our sodas at OLIPOP, Watermelon Lime features ingredients that support healthy digestion by feeding the microbiome that exists within all of us. We use something called OLISMART to make our drinks both delicious and functional. OLISMART is our blend of unique botanicals for a refreshing taste, as well as plant fibers and prebiotics (the primo food source for beneficial bacteria), hand-picked for their biome-supporting benefits.

As part of their biome-supporting benefits, the fiber and prebiotics in our soda aid in slowly dispersing nutrients throughout the digestive tract, feeding the beneficial bacteria that live there. Fiber is also a key ingredient for digestive health. And it’s a macronutrient that we all need more of, since only 5% of Americans meet the recommended daily intake. 

In addition to the OLISMART blend we use in all our sodas, our Watermelon Lime formula also features watermelon juice, lime juice, and natural watermelon flavor (which is, of course, how we achieve the distinctive taste!). Additionally, we flavor all our drinks with stevia instead of sugar or high-fructose corn syrup. Because stevia is calorie-free, Watermelon Lime is only 40 calories and 5 grams of sugar. Talk about an OLIPOP win!

Watermelon Lime Mocktail Recipe

Aside from the digestive health function packed into every can, another big pro of our newest OLIPOP flavor is that there’s a ton of potential to mix it up in your favorite summertime cocktail, like this refreshing mocktail! Give this recipe a try for your next hot day hangout: 

Ingredients:

• OLIPOP Watermelon Lime
• Slices of watermelon
• 1 lime
• Fresh mint leaves
• Ice

Directions:

1. Add a few watermelon slices to the bottom of your glass
2. Squeeze in some fresh lime juice
3. Add a few mint leaves to your glass (pro tip: pound or chop up the leaves to release the flavor!)
4. Pour in a can of Watermelon Lime
5. Stir the ingredients together
6. Garnish with a slice of lime and enjoy!
